YMCA ARTIST IN RESIDENCE


Today we were so luck to have our first session with a YMCA Artist in Residence. Natalie is so inspiring to work with.

Today we had to describe ourselves using ADJECTIVES and black sharpies. We had to think of all of the words that describe our personality and who we are. We used blank paper puzzle pieces to represent ourselves before anything with no experiences or feelings at all. We then had to brainstorm all the words that we think describe us TODAY.

We then used a painting technique called MARBLING to add different patterns of colour to our piece. 

This Marbling represents all of the things that shape us and make us who we are such as family, school, friends, hobbies etc. 

We can't wait to see how all of these pieces fit together next week and discover what we are going to do next with Ms. Natalie on Wednesday!
