SPORTS DAY!!

Reminder: Tomorrow is Sports Day! We will have a quick opening ceremonies assembly and then head straight outside (weather permitting) to participate in all of the sports centres from 130pm-3:00 pm. Please come dressed in your team jersey, favorite sport jersey or you Royal Oak School Spirit Wear. 

Bring a waterbottle with you name on it and sunscreen if it looks to be hot.

When we come back to our classrooms (3:00) We will be having a watermelon snack but feel free to send along an extra (healthy) snack for your child as they might be extra hungry after all that SPORTS!!

Writing

We read the book "The Best Part of Me" by Wendy Ewald. It uses photography and words to describe what children think is the best part of themselves and why? We took a picture of our favourite body part and are writing about it. Ask me what I think that the best part of me is and why?

Today we continued using the computers to research insects and create a Google Slide presentation that will include important information, pictures and diagrams about:

1. Habitat

2. Diet

3. Predators

4. Appearance

5. Life Cycle

6. Interesting Facts

We talked about how to add pictures, text, background, and links to our Google Slides. We also talked about how to make our slides transition with a FADE or a FLIP or a CUBE. Ask me to show you my work so far
