New unit in science: Small, Crawling and Flying Creatures
Students are beginning their research into our newest inquiry! They will be engaged in this unit until the end of term.
We have been discussing the difference between reading for pleasure vs. reading for information as a Scientist. Students will be completing a cumulative project on an Alberta insect of their choosing and presenting a Google Slide presentation from the point of view of the bug!
Math!
We continued into our inquiry of 3D objects, and the shapes that compose them. Students were challenged to use wooden objects and then trace all of the sides they could find to make a net. Students were so surprised at the results, they were not given pre-drawn nets!
