Reading
Today we started practicing reading. We are trying to build up our READING STAMINA so that we don't give up and can read for longer periods of time. Ask me what was the hardest part.
We practiced using the reading strategy EAGLE EYE in order to improve our accuracy when we sound out words. Ask me if I can show you how it works with a book from home!
Today we had a special presentation in the gym from SAPPHIRE. It was all about BEAKERHEAD which is happening here in Calgary from September 13-September 17, 2017. Ask me what she did in the assembly and what my favorite part was?

MUSIC
Today we started our first day of ONEWORLD drumming. We will be learning to drum all week and we are inviting parents into the school on Friday September 15th to see what we have learned. For Room 24 our mini performance will be at 12:30-12:50 on that day. Please check out Ms. Mann's blog later in the week for some updates and information:
