Building Words, Symmetrical Self Portraits and Self-Editing

LITERACY

We have been practicing making words in our classroom using a string of letters. We try to put the letters together to make two letter, three letter, four letter and five letter words. This helps us with sounding out, recognizing and spelling words.

If you want to practice this at home here is a link for a word building game called BOGGLE:

Math/Art

Today we finished drawing the other half of our face after learning about Symmetry all week. We had to do a self-assessment using a bulls eye rubric to say how we think that we did with our second attempt at drawing the other half of our photograph. Ask me how I think I did and why? Which part would I do different next time or what would I change?
