Reminders

Today a Chickadee magazine subscription is coming home in your child's green Home Communication folder. Please fill it out and send it back to school even if you do not want the subscription. We get prizes for the class if they are all filled out with a response (whether it is yes or no).

                                                             

Please remember to bring a pair of indoor (easy to put on) shoes to keep at school-if you have not done so already. 

We continued to look at the concept of FAIRNESS and how we can be SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS. We made a class seating chart. Ask me where I am sitting and how it will help my learning. 

Classroom Community and Rules

We read the book "Chrysanthemum" by Kevin Henkes.

We talked about all of the feelings Chrysanthemum had BEFORE she went to school and AFTER she went to school. 

Math

We also figured out how many letters are in our names. We built our names with math cubes. Next week we will compare our numbers and build our number with tally marks and ten frames. 

We talked about the definition of Community and how we can all participate in making a successful classroom community.
