Dr. Seuss Spirit Week Schedule, Tape Train of the Future, and Paper Mache Bones!!

Home Reading Update: For this week of home reading there was no homework sent home in your home reading bags. Please read your new books and practice using the 5-finger retell orally. Next week there will be homework to do with GoogleSlides and creating a booktalk/book review but that homework will come home to everyone and NOT in your home reading bag. It will also be posted on the BLOG.

Reminder:

Next week is the Dr. Seuss Spirit Week.

Monday: Wear your PAJAMAS to school and bring your favorite BOOK!

Schedule of the weeks events:

Tape Train Building Challenge:

Today after some time to reflect and design our train of the future we finally began building. Since this was also part of the BEAKERHEAD challenge to use TAPE to build a train from the future (3018) we mostly had to use tape. But we are attempting to build a Maglev Train that will use the magnetic force of repulsion to move and that is made for the future. We will continue building this project and you will be able to see it at our upcoming Celebration of Learning.

Paper Mache Art Installation!

Today was our first day of making paper mache buffalo bones! This will be a part of our Celebration of Learning and a Museum/Art installation that will tell a story of the past. It was messy and goopy but so much fun!!!
