Insect Research and Google Slides.

For the rest of the week we are working on our Google Slides presentation on our insect that we have been researching.

Next week we will get to present our research to the class.

Our slide show should have:

-Title page
-Appearance
-Diet
-Habitat
-Life Cycle
-Predators
-Interesting Facts
-Problems facing my insect

We worked on adding images, links and short videos. We learned how to save an image to our desktop when uploading from the web is not working well.

Tomorrow we will be adding transitions, themes and finalizing our text size, font, colour and spelling.

This is the last science work that will be marked for the year. If I have not finished my work during the allocated class time and ketchup time it is highly recommended that I work on the slides at home in order to be done by this Friday June 21st,  2019. They will be marked as incomplete if not finished by then.

Weight and Mass

Today we talked about comparing different weights, using scales and drawing and labeling our understanding in our math books:

You can practice balancing scales at this website:

Tomorrow we will be talking about weight in the world: How it is used? Why it is important?

Writing

This week we have been writing letters to our Future Grade 3 teachers! We thought about what we want our new teacher to know about us:
How do we learn best?
What are our favorite learning activities at school?
What do I do for fun?
Anything you want your Grade 3 teacher to know about you?

We also brainstormed some questions we might have for our new teachers.

Ask me what I wanted my teacher to know about me:
